2002 jeep liberty cruise control

does any auto mech. know if all the liberty's came out with all the wiring for accessories, like mine has heated mirrors, fog lights, lighted visor mirrors but NO cruise, if i buy the switches on ebay will they plug in to wires on the steering wheel or do i need another part, the jeep dealer said it did'nt come with it, but they did'nt know if the wires were there, i know sometimes all the wiring is installed from the factory its just whats ordered as far as options.

  1. Well you're right many times when being assembled the manufacture installs all the basics and leaves the option to add items via harness's etc that are equipped to simply just connect the advice wiring to.

    Basically bec the computer controls the cruise control the comp will probably need to be programmed in order for the cruise control to work once installed.

    Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way bec people can get such features installed later after purchasing the vehicle it makes sense that the vehicle will be equipped for installation of such features to be easiar and all.


  2. To check for the wiring I believe there should be a quick disconnect at the drivers feet behind the molding.If the plug is there you are all set,if not you will need a wiring kit.
