2002 lincoln ls-code reads insufficient egr flow-have changed egr and maf sensor.What's left?

  1. On the older 5.0's theres a filter on the EGR solenoid that can cause that. Trace the vaccum line back from the EGR valve, there should be a solenoid with a little plastic top hat on it. Pop that little cap off and theres a little foam filter on it. If thats plugged or stiff it will cause your problem.


  2. NEVER replace any part till you KNOW the problem. The MAF sensor has nothing to do with egr. Changing egr was no help apparently. You must do diagnosis and see if egr is operating. It could have a bad connection if electric operated or not getting vacuum if operated that way.
