Went into a store for twenty minutes. Came out and it wouldn't turn over. Found someone with jumper cables. Charged for 20 min before it would start. Checked fan, it quit running. Tried again with a different set of jumpers, got it started within five minutes, car quit as soon as headlights came on. Indicators on dash would come on when key was inserted and tried to turn over engine. Green light on battery indicates a good battery still. No obvious signs of corrosion on cables, though it charged better when jumpers applied directly to cables. Am I looking at alternator? It's been a while....how much do you figure I'm looking at?
