My vehicle has 68,000 miles and lately two things have been happening: 1) the air bag warning light comes on/off at random and 2) the time on the radio clock sets itself to 12:00 at random times. Anyone else having this problem?

  1. Start with scanning for codes on the SIR system. That should tell you which circuit is acting up for the air bag. They might be related, but I doubt it. The radio needs battery voltage and ground supplies at all times. You would have to run back on these two circuits to verify bad or poor connections. There is a module that also supplies most of the accessories power that has caused problems.

  2. I know you may laugh but check the battery. I have seen those same problems with a weak battery or a bad cable. If its not that you may have a harness problem.

  3. check to see if there was a recall on it because i know there is a chevy silverado with some sort o recall I'm having a brain f**t and just cant remember it Ha sorry but check it out
