2003 Dodge Ram fuel pump question?

Question

Can these be cleaned out, since the sales hype says lifetime fuel filter, or do they need to be replaced? If cleaning is okay, than how many in the tank do they have?

no those all have to be replaced never try cleaning one,for the amount of trouble it is to get to it always replace those,that and the cost isn't that bad not considering the amount or work and cost that would be involved in trying to clean one out,always replace the pump and the filter together,if you don't replace the pump at least replace the filter,good luck.

You are not going to have much luck cleaning one, you are going to have to replace it. That's usually what you have to do. The fuel filter is located in the tank and there is only one of them. They are not that expensive, you can probably find a new one online for around 30 bucks. Good luck.

They had problems with the first pumps check if there was a flyer out and if they will replace it???
