2003 Dodge ram 2500?

Question

I have 130,000 miles on the truck. I have noticed that when I am driving and i need more power and i push the accelerator. I noticed think black smoke. Why??? It only does it when I need power. It has never done this before.

Gas or Diesel? Diesel run injector clearer and change fuel filters might have some bad fuel> Gas check air filter get tuned up> Black is escessive fuel>

With that many miles on the car, the rings are  worn and the valve seals are a little hard and that allows oil to get into the cylinders and burn creating smoke.
