So i went to look at a car today at a local dealership and i found a 2003 Grand Prix wit 94k miles, i mean its pretty much flawless with a few minor things that are ridicilously easy to handle( the buttons on side door for windows need to get a hook to hook it back down into the door) and one back window doesnt roll down which is not a big deal at all.. but its been kept in imaculate shape only 2 owners clean carfax and engine got a 360 checkd out which went fine but will get a top to bottom check out analysis tomorow contingent upon purchase. when i called the dealer said 3500 but when i got there they realized that it was actually 5999.i saw it while it was still in clean up from trade in.But we talked a while and i got them to settle for 4000! car was in great shape body and interior wise. Is this a great deal or is the dealership just giving crazy cars away these days? Anyway if the engine checks out at the analysis tomorow, should i take the car? Do you think this is good???

  1. I own a 00 Grand Prix which is the same car. If that car had that many particular issues I wouldn't go with it. It may mean the car wasn't taken care of. I wouldn't worry about the engine because the 3800 V6 is bullet proof, but that electrical stuff would make me stay away.

  2. go get it !!!! my sister got a 99 2200 at a car auction 4 years newer and less miles for 1800 more don`t think go get it

  3. It is a descent price.  A car from a new car dealer with over 80,000 miles or 6 yers old usually will go to auction unless it is a performance car, collector or a highly salable car.  Although your car is  a good selling NERW car as used it loses value quick.  this is though your gain.  Buy it if it checks out and i would niot pay to detail as that was not part of deal.  I sell cars and we have cars that will most likelly go to auction but ones in good condition we will sell until it will go.  We will always detail a car before you take ownership.
