Question:

2003 Honda Accord EX Speaker Problem?

My drivers door speaker has not been working for a while. i did have a new door put on a while ago and i cannot remember exactly when the speaker stopped working or if it worked at all when the door was put on, which is why i didn't take it back to the dealer. i don't recall hearing any signs of the speaker blowing, like hissing or bad audio quality, and i rarely have the speakers very loud at all. i do have a navigation system as well if that is important at all. i also tried to take a look at it myself but i couldn't pull the speaker out from the steel/aluminum part of the door because it wouldn't budge. so if anyone has info about this problem or how to fix it, as well as a step by step guide to take the speaker out, if you could link it to me it would be a big help.

Thanks, Jon

  1. your best bet would be to take the door trim off if u haven't already they have plastic clips that push onto the door and probably some screws if it hasn't got electric windows there a clip that holds the winder on between the winder and door......

its probably just a loose wire or the positive wire (+) is touching the body of the car (door) which is ground or negative (-) that usally causes all speakers to stop tho so it will more than likely be a loose wire either at the back of the speaker or the back of the CD player

heres abit of an idea how to remove the door trim
