Question:

2003 Pontiac Aztek: The cluster that contains the dials for heat and A/C needs to be replaced- where can I?

This is a two part question...

A) Where can I buy this specific instrument panel for a reasonable price; what's it called exactly so I could search for it?

B) Is it hard to replace, anyone know of online instructions for this...?

Your help would be much appreciated. The shop wants to charge me an absurd $400 for this.

Note- the blower still works, but it's always running on the on position in level '2'.

THANK YOU! Best answer = an equal 10 points.

  1. Try using this website to locate parts Car-Part.com. It searches local wrecking yards.

  2. Called   heat and Ac cluster or heat/ac bezel

Cheapest place is salvage yard, best place is dealer, that way you know it will work...

400.00 is reasonable cost if it includes parts.. that part will cost 200.00 new....

Shopwork here is 100.00 per hour ....

  3. Try looking in an auto salvage yard.  You can get used parts still in good condition for a lot lower price than buying a new one.  I'd call the items described as: Heating and A/C controls.

  4. Sounds like you already have checked the dealer.  Web sites that can help with the part and cost are www.gmparts direct.com   www.gmpartssupply.com    www.autorock.com  and www.trademotion.com/partlocator/i

    For installation help. try www.mygmlink.com

  5. a) instrument cluster for ac. why would you waste time searching for it, just go to the dealer and buy one. dont get a used one or you will be doing the job twice

    b) you can subscribe to alldata and that will give you instructions

    c) 400 is not absurd, how much did you think it would cost 10 dollars
