2003 chevy trailblazer stuck in reverse?

I had the same problem in my 2002 trailblazer.   In my case the transmission linkage assembly under the car slipped off.  The tow truck driver said that is what happened.  There was apparently a plastic piece that held it together that broke off. He just went under the truck and reconnected the linkage to get it out of reverse.  You'll need to get it replaced so it doesn't occur again.
