I have a 2003 dodge durango. The door locks lock themselves over and over again even when the vehicle is sitting still with no key...I tried the unlock with the key and putting the remote next the steering column and unlocking there...That fixes it for a minute or two then they lock themselves over and over again...They only started after replacing the battery...Helppppppppppp

  1. Sounds like a CTM starting to go.

The Central Timer Module is responsible for most body functions and is known to cause prolems like yours.

  2. Well basically the vehicle uses the speed sensor circuit to send info to the transmission control module and it sends a signal to the main comp and then the cluster control module sets the locks once passing a certain speed. But also a main comp etc can loose it programming once the battery is disconnected for any period of time and therefore the comp may need reprogramming or to be put into a relearning mode.

Contact the dealership and asks to talk to a customer service rep they should be able to help you figure out the problem here but I think it's a simple problem.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way my Dodge use to act really strange it not only cause the locks to gohaywiree but also cause the interior lights to go nuts too and I installed a used main comp and  the problem was solved.Keep in mind my car is much older then yours and therefore the comps are quite different then yours are.

  3. i have ran across this problem before ,you may have to disconnect the battery cable from it again and leave it off for a few minutes then reconnect it back up that may reset it,thats the same thing our dodge did when we changed the batttery in it,this is how i fixed it,i left the cable off for a few minutes and then connected it back up again and it straitened its self out,i also drove it for about 5 minutes to reset everything on it,it hasnt gave any problems yet and this has been over 3 months ago, good luck.

  4. Maybe a ghost moved in.  Just kidding. Maybe they need to be reprogrammed check your owners manual.  Your key fobs to the durango is what i am talking about.
