2003 volkswagen diesel jetta

Question

i have a volkswagen diesel 1.9 i need to replace the glow plugs but can not find them on the engine so i can replace them . i cant find them on the engine cylinder is it possible there under the valve cover ?

they're a mess to replace.  you'd really be better served to allow your mechanic to do it for you.  it won't cost terrible much in labor, although the parts are a tad pricey.
