Will insurance rates for the 350z cost more than the other two newer cars? Which cars are better? Engine? Performance? Quietness? and Feel?

  1. I haven't checked out the insurance quotes myself but I'm almost certain that the rates for the 350Z will be more expensive than both the Altima and the Accord.

350Z is classified as a sports car and the insurance companies know that most people who own this car drive more "rough". Also, for whatever it's worth, 350Z is just a 2 seater.

On the other hand, both the Altima and the Accord, despite being 2 doors, are derived from family sedans. The insurance rates for both will probably be more expensive than their 4 door counterparts but certainly less expensive than the Z.

As for the cars themselves, I think it's somewhat like comparing apples to oranges. The Z is a true sports car and is meant for performance. As you might suspect, it's not going to be all that quiet. Also, the biggest difference that sets it apart from the rest is the fact that it is a rear-wheel drive. The Z also has handling advantage over the others as a result.

Altima and Accord are not too shabby either in terms of performance, given that you're looking at the V6 models for both. They're probably going be quieter but the handling won't be as good as the Z. Remember, they're orignally meant to be family sedans first. One thing for sure, both are more practical than the Z.

It really depends on what you want but in terms of overall cost, you'll definitely save more by getting either the Altima or the Accord.

    Good luck.
