2004 Dodge neon sxt 2.0L wont start check engine light flashes 10 times?

Question

We have a 2004 Dodge neon and all of a sudden it wont start up. It cranks but just wont start. I have replaced the spark plugs and it has half a tank of gas. When I turn the key the check engine light is on but then flashes 10 times they stays lit. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

This could be something simple as a fuse or somthing more difficult like a solenoid pack. Try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to reset the computer. While waiting the 5 minutes, pull out every fuse and check to see if there are any bad ones. Replace them as necessary.

After the 5 minutes, reconnect the battery and then try to start it. If the SES light still flashes then it means there is a serious problem in the electronics.

A friend of mine had this same problem and it turned out to be the solenoid pack, which was about $600 to fix.

you need to have someone with a scanner to hook up to it and pull the trouble code from it,there's something going on with it that i haven't ran across before,usually the check engine light wont flash like that ,have it scanned it should give a trouble code for whats causing it not to start ,good luck.
