2004 GMC Sierra airbags deployed, do front sensor go bad?

Question

I was involved in an accident, both airbags deployed. I bought good airbags and airbag control module to replace them. My question is do the front airbags impact sensor go bad when the bags deploy or can I nust replace the bags and controll module? I realize I can go to the dealer and get an answer but they are concerned with making money and could say yes even if they don't. Thanks.

yes you have to replace everything or they have the chance of going off again

no you don't always have to but your best bet and safest bet will be to contact the manufacturer some models you have to replace even the seatbelts even if they work but believe me the safest thing for you to do is to change the sensors .. better safe than sorry.
