2004 Honda Elite Ch80 Wont Start?

My 2004 Honda Elite Ch80 has been sitting in my garage for about a year and i decided to get it out again I put a brand new battery in it and brand new gas and when i try to start it it just Drains my battery and doesn't Go anywhere what could be the problem

  1. First, make shure you have spark at the plug.  If not clean or replace the plug.

    Second, check to see if gas is getting to the carburetor.  Remove the fuel line from the tank to the carb and check for flow.

    Third, clean the float bowl (bottom part) on the carb to remove water, gummy gas, etc...

    Fourth, spray carb cleaner up under the carb with float bowl off to clean jets, etc...

    Fifth, put carb back together and try starting the engine again.

I would have someone get by the gas tank and someone else turn the ignition key.if they don't hear any noise,I would say you have a bad fuel pump.try spraying starting fluid into the intact.If it fires up for a second or two,I would say that's your problem..or it might  just be a clogged fuel filter....

  3. Need carb cleaned and new spark plugs.
