2004 SRT 4 Dodge Neon not running right.

Question

I drive a 2004 SRT 4 Neon. A few weeks ago my brother felt to take it upon himself to do a compression test on my car. As he was doing this and stuck the "tester" down in cylinder 3 there was a really loud POP. Since then my car has not ran right at all. The turbo isn't working and it sounds horrible. Any ideas on what the "pop" may have been???

That pop may be the sound of your brother's checkbook opening.

check to see that the spark plug went back in strait when he put it back in,if he cross threaded it you have got problems,the head will probably have to be removed and re-threaded so it will hold a spark plug,the pop was probably the plug blowed out of it,good luck with it,

srt 4 neons are very very very unstable and unrealible. taken the fact that even the dealership wont fix it for you. you're pretty much screwed sir thats why dodge stands for

i think that was the sound of the compression tester. maybe your brother did not put it back together the right way
