  1. This is a very personal decision.  You are going to be the one riding it.  However just remember, it is a 14 year old.  It's on the heavy side and gulps a lot of gas.  If you change your mind after a while, you may have difficulty finding it a new owner.

I would suggest something lighter and more recent.  Good luck to you.

  2. I think hormraz is high. I had a k5 gsxr 600. i rode that **** in the snow. those things are great. Dont buy from a dealer though. Buy private party. No taxes does amazing things for your pocketbook.

    GSXR>zx+R1+cbr

  3. d**n they let you take it HOME? lol.Thats a new one for me. Thats a LOT of power for a crotch rocket also, so thats not your first bike is it? I assume not. Sorry, I know its not what you asked, but my 2 cents.

  4. I'd go for the K3 or K5. Apparently they were the two best gixers they made. I've got the K3 and have had no trouble at all except I find it an awesome bike. Power - it's very torquey, pulls away in 3rd with no hard rev ving. Smooth as silk, gear box is sweet and as long as you look after it, it will look after you. When I worked I had the 600 gixer and rode through rain, wind, fog, snow and ice. Brilliant little gixer.
