  1. flat battery....loose battery terminals....link wire from alto to loom broken...or try the main engine earth strap.

  2. It sounds like your battery is completely flat. Try unlocking the car with the key in the actual door lock rather than using the remote. If only the drivers door lock opens with the key, its a pretty good sign that the battery is dead flat. Try connecting a set of booster leads to the battery and see if that helps.

  3. Flat battery?

  4. try borrow someones battery from a difrent car  it doesnt always work when you recharge  the original, i had the same problem thought it was the starter at first then alternator then found out it was my battery after paying for all those

  5. try what the other people have suggested, only other thing on my mind is it a automatic, is the gear selector in the park position?

  6. Flat-battery?  honk your horn, put your headlights on...  Wiggle the leads on the battery-terminals.   Clean them with hot water and tissue-paper.  Try again.  See if the feed to the solenoid has come off, I have seen happen it a few times.  The big fat red positive lead comes off the battery, goes to the starter-motor.  The solenoid is a little cylinder, which sits on top of the starter.  Check the connections here.
