Hi, My 2005 Nissan Murano's radio is not working. The radio powers on but no sound comes out. It doesn't matter whether its the CD or Radio or Tape or the DVD. I am not sure what it is but if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. You cannot add a BOSE audio with it's pre amp out puts to a non amplified system with out BOSE amp speakers. Next 6 disk system and DVD player for navigation was designed into the car to play the mapping software and display screen and AV driver. So if you blew the audio fuse under the hood the system might not turn on. But if you installed a BOSE into a non Bose Murano you need all the other stuff to make it play above a whisper. DVD display unit and player in console is a separate system for rear seat passengers only that you can play thru the audio system speakers.

  2. Warranty? do what Pregoman did

  3. i own a 2004 murano and had the radio replaced 3 times   ,the dealership installed rebuilt radios in it two times  i called nissan headquarters in america and they made the dealershio install abrand new one no problems so far

  4. i recon you didn't get 3 year extended warranty.

this is a very uncommon problem , sounds like a recall that wasn't published...

if all parts are original then you should go to your dealership and complain !

  5. Whenever you have an electrical problem, you ought to check the manual and find the fuse for it and see if it's blown or not. If it's not a fuse, it's probably going to cost real money to fix.

  6. Sounds like a wiring or electrical problem. Take it to the Nissan dealership for a diagnostic test.  Did your warranty run out already?
