Whats the fuel economy like? In the real world, and not just what is on the web. I'm not too sure about the V6 but its at such a great price...? Pro/cons of the car? Anything that will help?

  1. Well if it was kept up it probably give you at least 28 to 32 mpg hwy and from 18 to 22 mpg city. They do seem like nice vehicles just don't ever rush into deals just bec the price etc sounds like in fact best to shop around and do as you're doing here ask questions do your homework first.

There is a great book out that comes out yrly called the Lemonade book it will help you a lot in making car decisions and it's truly a great true eye opener for both new and used car buyers.

What I'd try to do is find out via sites or via auto clubs or via the net or by talking to ppl that that sell and own them what are the most common problems and try to compare the vehicle you want to buy to see if those things on that vehicle have been already taken care of or does it need that work still.

I'd be having any vehicle regardless if buying certified or not checked out by a reliable mechanic before ever agreeing to buy it , or I'd be checking the vehicle out visaully myself double checking it over via the sellers shop and mechanic.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way knowing as much as possible about the vehicle or product you're interesting in buying is a great advantage bec then you've questions to ask and will know many of the proper answers already. If you notice that a sales rep or sales man seems to be trying to ignore you or your questions or gets offensive be cautious or walk out bec something is worrying the sales person about that vehicle etc.

  2. The Pontiac G6 is on AutoOnInfo.net's list of the Worst Automobiles of 2008 (with a Composite Reliability Score of -.83 on a scale from +1.00 to -1.00) based on Consumer Reports' Reliability Verdicts for the 3 preceding model years. Also, AutoOnInfo.net's detailed reliability and durability studies suggest that a typical 3-year-old Pontiac is as troublesome to own as a typical 27-year-old Honda and a typical 20-year-old Toyota. So its shortcomings are rather gargantuan.
