2005 Toyota 4Runner panel backlight turned off....

Hello,

I have a 2005 Limited Toyota 4Runner The back-light for right half of the Multi-Information display panel has turned off!!

I can still see the values (like temperature etc..) but the back-light turned off today. Is it a bulb? a Fuse? What do I have to do to fix it? (Besides taking it to a mechanic).

I have a 2005 4runner with the same problem. I check with a Toyota dealer in my area and was told i would have to replace the whole unit $1200. It drives me crazy ,but $1200 i will have to live with it....Good luck...
