Hi I have a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt with 40000 miles on it. A few weeks ago the External Temperature Gauge starting reading a good 20 degrees hotter than it really was outside. Does anyone know what could cause this and where the sensor is located? Keep in mind its not the engine temp sensor but the outside temperature.

  1. I think its on the rear view mirror. They just die sometimes. I had the lights inside my rear view mirror go out on my yukon. I bought a another mirror at a auto recycler for 150 bucks.
