I want to put a decent system in my car, possibly including a head unit; but I need to know how much my factory radio has in the way of wattage first. My friend said that it could have as much as 60 because it has a 6 disc changer attached. Anybody have any idea?

  1. almost all factory reciever have 50x4 watts witch is 200 divided by the four speakers in the doors, your car should have this much but problems with stock receivers they don't have any equalizers or bass controlling so your stuck with just regular equalizing witch is your basic treb and bass. witch doesn't help with aftermarket speakers. i recommend upgrading to any low end receiver just so you have something to work with when you get you new speakers if thats what you want so then you can put more money into good speakers and good accessories if your looking for a good aftermarket set up. i have site for you to look at.
