Question:

2006 Polaris Predator 50cc HELP!?

I bought a 2006 predator for my nephew. The oil light frequently flashes whenever you hit a bump and sometimes stays on if you are going up or down a hill even though the oil level is fine. It doesnt have too little or too much oil. The oil resevoir is under the seat on this model and always has oil nearly to the top of the container. Is this normal for the light to flicker on and off? I told the dealership about the problem and I had a full service and oil change done on it. It still continues to flicker. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

  1. theres 2 types of sensors, if you disconnect the wire to the sensor and the oil light comes on, then you have the 1 type (Say A) and you most likely have a loose connection somewhere, follow the wire.'

If you have the other type and you disconnect  the sensor and the lite stays off, (Type B) then you either have the sensor setup wrong (Position or sensititivity) or the sensor its self is bad.

  2. idk much about polaris but maybe it just the sencor but i cant really be sure srry if it didnt help
