I am 16 and I plan on getting a sports car that won't KILL me when it comes to Gas prices.(i know the solstice is not Honda MPG but it will do) I think the solstice may be good but i don't know. I found one that cost $13,000 a few days ago do yall think the price of the solstice will continue to drop to the point where I could find one for $11,000 by March of next year? and if so will the insurance (of i am under my parents name) cost more then $200 a month?(it has like 177 HP and is not that fast so...) (oh and um...I am paying for 1/2 the month cost of every thing and my parents are paying for the other so $200 car payments and $200 insurance would'nt be a problem)

  1. i wouldn't buy that for 11k if you want a fun car that's sporty quick and gets good mileage try a Nissan sentra SE-R Spec V you can find an 03-05 for less than 10k 175 stock HP. Just my two cents. Or if you parents would let you get a 1998 or 1999 Mitsubishi eclipse GSX or GST (GSX AWD GST FWD) they have 210 Hp stock and come with a turbo that just makes you feel cool :)

  2. If you buy the Solstice, your insurance rates will skyrocket because you are a teen driver and you will be driving a sports car--your insurance rates will most likely double (at least). Don't do it. You could probably find one for that price, but you'd better be sure that you can afford the very high insurance and $5500 for the car (if you're paying half).
