2006 Toyota Corolla ECM Replacement Price?

Hi. I have a 2006 Toyota corolla that is showing P2716 error code. It is the ECM that needs to be replace according to Toyota Bulletin. Unfortunately warranty is out by 3,000km. What is the estimated price of the ECM and does someone know where it would be best to get it (PRICE WISE).

Does your car have more than 80,000 miles? the engine ecu has a 8yr-80,000 mile warranty(goes beyond the normal powertrain 5yr 60,000). have you called your local Toyota dealer? If you have serviced the car at a certain Toyota dealership they may still assist you or offer a "Goodwill" extension beyond the normal limit--especially if you have been a good customer of theirs and if so, point that out to them. They want your business and know if they extend a courtesy to you--you may reciprocate and take your business there. It never hurts to ask--the worst they can say is no. We do this sometimes for our really good customers--especially when it is a known problem(TSB). Call them and ask.  Good Luck--T&T
