Question:

2007 Chevy Malibu...is there a way to install an aux outlet for an Ipod?

The factory radio does not include an aux port to plug in my Ipod, so I have to use an Itrip device. I purchased a Belkin model and I'm still getting interference on the "dead" frequencies. I originally had a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix with a tape deck, so I had the adapter for that, and a charger, and I LOVED the quality I was receiving. I was told by the dealership that there is a device that I may be able to plug into the back of my radio, if it is pulled out and plugged back in. I'm not even really sure how to pull out the stock radio to begin with, or know where to plug this device in. Suggestions?

  1. MonsterCable makes a thing that plugs into your cig lighter and you can set/program 3 radio frequencies into it.  then just turn your radio dial to thoswe stations/freq and it will play through whatever cars stereo you are riding in.

Or get a $8 cord that goes from the iPod headphone jack into RCA connectors.

It's not wireless so there's no interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. Basically it adds an AUX input to ANY radio. No searching for a clean channel.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch.

This is the answer. Totally versatile.
