  1. with the gas prices, it's gonna be really hard to maintain a mustang, unless it's like 4 cylinders or 2 which i don't think there is.

  2. if you want to pay 3k a year or more on insurance go ahead... sports cars don't have cheap insurance... especially for first time drivers...

  3. It's pretty much perfect. May not be the safest thing, but certainly the performance and reliability will be fine.  They get about 20-25 mpg.

  4. Oh there is SOO much wrong information here from these other uninformed, biased people! Ok, here we go.

-Mustangs are just as reliable as any other car if you properly maintain them.

-Mustangs are not huge gas hogs, considering the performance you get in return. If you want 35 miles per gallon, buy a Focus. If you are redlining the car constantly from stoplight to stoplight, yes you will go through a lot of gas.

-Getting into a Mustang will NOT automatically jack up your insurance rates. When I was 21, I went from an Escort (4 cylinder) to a Mustang GT (V8) and my rates went DOWN. Why, you ask? Because I had a clean record. Your record matters way more than the car.

-If the one you drove felt rough, it may have been a GT, which has a little bit stiffer springs, or the tires were hard. Mine doesn't ride rough at all.

-Don't worry about long term reliability. My 1998 is past 135,000 miles and has never leaked, blown an engine or transmission, or anything like that. I got 30 miles per gallon once on a long highway trip. With mixed city and highway driving, I get 24 mpg all the time. Not exactly a gas hog.

  5. personally would not buy the car. It seems like a good car, but overall the qualities of negativity are greater than positive.

Mustangs in general take a lot of gas. Not as much as hummers, but they do take quite a bit.

Maintenance would primarily concern the seats. If they're leather, you'd have to get seat covers or take great care of them and clean them regularly no matter what. And with the horse power of the car, you'd also have to take care of the tires.

The reliability is just like any other car; will get you from A to B.

It has great power but once again it boils down to gas. More power means more gas.

The ride comfort is pretty decent. Not a super spacious vehicle, but still comfortable.

Overall, for me it would be a no. there are many more cars out there that would fit your needs. Many cars can get you from A to B without wasting gas and still being comfortable.

It is up to you, though. Good luck.

  6. i have rode in a ford mustang. my brothers. it nice. he puts quite a littlebit of gas though. its smooth. and the best thing of all. lol in the winter it have seat warmers:) lol

i would get it if i had the chance

  7. doesnt matter because you would look d**n s**y driving it lol

  8. I worked  for 25 years  for a driving school owned by Ford  We  drove Hondas  Ford not happy   The proof is  that its hard to buy a used Honda   People will not give them up

  9. mustang are american car u should spend 1million dollar to prevent it to break on the road

  10. If it is your first car, your insurance will be through the roof. But other than that, why not get it?

  11. ok so anyone my age would kill to get any kind of ford mustang . i have driven one before ( just for a little ) and i loved it . the ride was so smooth . it does only get 19 miles to the gallon though . but the over all deal is great .

  12. Make sure it's not a GT a 300 horsepower V8 is way too powerful for a first car. The regular Mustang has 210 horsepower and that should be more than enough for any teenager.

  13. mustangs are awesome

  14. if its a gt yes

if its a reg. v6 no

if it s a pony package yes

if its a saleen **** YEA

    J/K ABOUT THE SALEEN

  15. You should not have that as your first car. It is too expensive.

  16. i would kill for that car. if that tells you anything. just to let you know, most sports cars are stick shift.
