The horsepower isn't much of a difference the GT500 has 500H.P. and the Z06 has 505H.P.

So in your own personal opinion which one is better? The GT500? or the Z06? and why?

As I was thinking it is a Corvette but I bet the GT500 has a whole lot of accessories the GT500 is just supercharged with an intercooler but what if you just take the supercharger and replace it with a turbocharger? An Air Intake a better Exhaust System, maybe replace some bolt on parts and then which is better?

  1. You have to look at more than horsepower. Get the bigger picture. Find the power curve. When do these engines get their peak horsepower? Torque is important too. If you don't get our horsepower until 6000rpm and the other guy gets his sooner, the race is going to be very uneven. Generally superchargers start making power sooner than turbos. Then there's aerodynamics. But when you're on the line and some pretty girl is holding both pinkslips, a sneeze can make all the difference in the world. There's still more to it to make one car quicker or faster than another.

These two cars are in different classes. The Vette is for some old doctor, near retirement, who wants to still get the girls looking. The GT500 is for the young upstart with a chip on his shoulder.  The doctor's son.

  2. Corvette, Chevy did not have to go to a third party to get performance.
