2007 Tahoe DVD problem?

I have an 07 Tahoe with factory in dash DVD/NAV/XM but everytime i put a DVD movie in it just says "Disc read error". The truck is in park and i'm putting into the top disc slot. My nav and everything else works including the cd player and i have bought brand new DVD's but still the same message. Can anyone help me?
