Question:

2007 Toyota Corolla Routine Check?

by  |  earlier

It's been 5,000 miles since my last oil change so I'm assuming it's time to go back for another. However, my breaks are a little squeaky when I come to a stop and my right dash squeaks when I go faster than 60mph on the highway. Are either of those legitimate concerns? Also, are there any routine checks I should have done at 19,500 miles?

Thank you!

  1. Just tell the mechanics to visually inspect your brakes and they should give you an estimate of whether you need to replace your brakes or not. Are you coming to sudden stops or smooth stops? Sudden stops would make your brakes squeak if you are stopping from high speeds. Try to brake slowly and if you don't hear anything your brakes should be fine. Are you sure your dash squeaks or could it be something else like small rocks hitting your windshield or something? Maybe it's just the wind blowing hard on your car? Refer to your maintenance manual to see how often you should change oil, rotate tires, etc.

  2. you dont have to wait any time to check anything.. to keep your car running right you check it offen... and yes the oil is pass due every 3000 is better.. and brakes should nt be wore out but if they squeaking  really smarter to have them check the longer they squeak the more money it cost to repair.. and for the dash squeak just say somethign about it when you go...... learn what to check and how to check things your self will save you some money plus help you not get ripped off.. you can find really great ways to keep ones car in top shape here so do some reading and learn how to care for your car
