Insure you have inspected by a qualified tech of your choice.  This will cost approximately $150 to $200.  Why? Average annually usage in America for boats and/or PWC is 50 hours per year.  253 is well beyond the "extremes" for a 2007 and my bet something is "wrong" and/or owner has been told to expect a major repair.
