2008-2009 NFL Season Predictions

Question

Alright I've seen some of the worst predictions for the 2008-2009 season.I'm not trying to insult anyone but I can't seem to find anything good.So instead of whining and not doing anything about I'm going to give my best shot at some predictions.

AFC East:

1.New England Patriots 13-3...You don't go from 16-0 to 0-16.but the odds of going 16-0 again, don't think so.

2.New York Jets 12-4...Call me crazy(I don't even really care about the Jets) but I had this funny feeling they were going to do good this season, but with Favre ,they're going to be great.

3.Buffalo Bills 6-10...They're the Bills.

4.Miami Dolphins 4-12...With Bill Parcells the Dolphins will show some improvement but there's still a lot of work to do.

AFC:North

1.Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4...This is expected of Pittsburgh every year.

2.Cleveland Browns 10-6...Cleveland is showing a lot of improvement in their games.

3.Cincinnati Bengals 9-7...I think it's going to be a step up year for the bengals.

4.Baltimore Ravens 3-13...They lost to Miami last year and lost Steve McNair.

AFC South:

1.Indianapolis Colts 12-4...Not as good as last year but still they are going to lead their division. Literally THEIR DIVISION!

2.Jacksonville Jaguars 9-7...Surprise Surprise!

3.Tennesee Titans 4-12... No offense Titans fans but I think last year was a bit of a fluke.

4.Houston Texans...They're the newest team in the league.

AFC West:

1.Denver Broncos 14-2...Last year was a slip up in my opinion.

2.Kansas City Chiefs 10-6...Nobody will see this coming.

3.San Diego 8-8...I was thinking of putting them 7-9. But they're rosters too good for that.

4.Oakland Raiders 7-9...I have a strange feeling that one of these years this team is going to just explode and go to like 14-2. For now, this will do for them.

NFC East:

1.Dallas Cowboys 10-6...Maybe not as good as last year but still pretty good.

2.New York Giants 9-7...Coming off their super bowl winning season,

thet'll be good.

3.Philadelphia Eagles 9-7...Improvement.

4.Washington Redskins 2-14...Sean Taylor got killed and Joe Gibbs retired. They don't have much going for them right now.

NFC North:

1.Minnesota Vikings 10-6...They may not have a good quarterback but they showed some good football playing last year.

2.Green Bay Packers 9-7...No Favre No Division champs.

3.Chicago Bears 4-12...Who gets by with a quarterback like Rex Grossman.

4.Detroit Lions 3-13...Typical Lions.

NFC South:

1.New Orleans Saints 11-5...They are a good team now even better with the addition of Jeremy Shockey.

2.Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-9...I am a big Bucs fan but I can't really expect much this year. The whole Running Back and Quarterback situation will take a toll on them this year.

3.Carolina Panthers 7-9...I have never been impressed with these guys.

4.Atlanta Falcons 5-11...Now everything's under control. But it's still going to be a rough season for the Falcons.

NFC West:

1.Arizona Cardinals 9-7...I think the Cardinals have some hidden talent.

2.St. Louis Rams 7-9...They can get over the awful season they had last year and have an o.k. season this year.

3.Seattle Seahawks 5-11...I think it's thime for seattle to suck.

4.San Francisco 49ers 4-12...They won't be able to get it together this year.

Not bad, but a little to assuming. One player is going to change a season? Your wrong about the Jets in my opinion. Favre has no chemistry with these guys. He has to learn an entire playbook in less than 2 months? Learn how the WR's like to do things?

east:

patriots 13-3...my super bowl pick

bills 9-7...they're better than people think

jets 8-8...favre is just one guy

dolphins 2-14...still a huge rebuilding project

north:

browns 10-6...if their defense improves they will be tough to beat

steelers 10-6...let's see if ben can keep up his success

bengals 6-10...the team chemistry level is at zero

ravens 4-12...auditioning for quarterbacks

south:

colts 12-4...they might struggle early with peyton out all preseason

jaguars 11-5...if only the colts weren't in this division

titans 9-7...vince young will continue to improve

texans 7-9...if only their division weren't so tough

west:

chargers 13-3...second best team in football

broncos 9-7...i'm still not sold on cutler

chiefs 7-9...they'd better find a passing game fast

raiders 6-10...their schedule is awful which is how they get to 6 wins

nfc:

east:

cowboys 12-4...most talent in the nfc

giants 10-6...if eli improves this team could repeat

redskins 9-7...they are going to take some steps forward

eagles 6-10...mcnabb and andy reid are both gone after this year

north:

vikings 10-6...if jackson protects the ball better they could win the whole thing

packers 8-8...aaron rodgers better grow up fast

lions 7-9...they'd better find a defense

bears 6-10...they'd better find a quarterback

south:

bucs 10-6...why is no one talking about them?

saints 10-6...shockey is going to be huge for this offense

panthers 6-10...delhomme has to return to form for them to have a playoff shot

falcons 3-13...welcome to the matt ryan show

west:

cardinals 8-8...best of an awful lot

seahawks 7-9...maurice morris is really their running back?

rams 7-9...if their defense improves they have a chance to steal this division

49ers 5-11...if alex smith doesn't improve this year he is officially a bust

umm ya gots the afc west as the best division this year are you serious wow i liek some of them but wow i think this is pretty bad the redskins are gonna be a playoff team so will the seahawks... lions will win more games thn 4.... and if you think sandeagos roster is to good for 7-9 8-8 is no better there winnin more thn that.... ravens are not gonna be that bad dude wow.....

AFC East - Most of your picks in this conference are reasonable except for the Jets.  They aren't a 12-4 team.

AFC North-  Pittsburgh and Cleveland have tough schedules.  9-7 or 10-6 is realistic for them.  Cincy is more of a 7-9 team to me.  Baltimore is a 5 or 6 win team.

AFC South- I think Tennessee is better than a 4 win team.  But, other than that, I like your picks for this division.

AFC West-  I don't like these picks at all.  Denver isn't a 14 win team.  The Chiefs won't finish ahead of the Chargers.  I'll say SD wins about 11, KC about 7, and Denver with 8 or 9 wins.  Oakland is a 5 or 6 win team to me.  

NFC East-  These picks look reasonable to me.

NFC North- I think the Lions and Bears with do a little bit better than you predict.  But, neither of them are .500 teams.  The other picks are fine.

NFC South- That is a tough division to predict.  Your guess is as good as mine for that one.  

NFC West-  I mostly agree with your picks there.  I do think Seattle is a 8 win team though.  That is my only disagreement.

1.Steelers 11-5-just too much defense, and Big Ben plays awesome even when you change the Wide receivers the run game looks good also

2.Browns 11-5-Lose to Steelers in tie breaker get Wild Card Anderson isn't a one hit wonder

3.Baltimore Ravens 6-10 Defense looks fine offense will find something at the end of the season

4. Cincy Bengals 4-12 Palmer finally gets angry leaves in the 09-2010 Offseason

AFC East

1.Patriots 14-2 Typical

2.Bills 9-7 Almost..just almost

3.Jets 7-9 THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM

4.Dolphins 5-11 Fans will see wins for a change

AFC South

1.Colts 13-3 Typical

2.Jaguars 12-4 Wild Card

3.Texans 9-7 and there is the toughest Division..hey a winning season

4. Titans 6-10 like you said fall short missing part of thier offense

AFC West

1.Chargers 12-4 RUN LT RUN

2.Broncos 9-7 Almost

3.Oakland Raiders 6-10 they're getting better

4. Chiefs 3-13 NO 10-6 you have to be out of your mind...thye have no Offense

NFC North

1.Vikings 11-5 Quit over exaggerating Tarvaris Jackson's FIRST full season he played 12 games threw for 1911 yards rushed for three Hundred something and the only thing bad was his accuracy but really all you have to do is be decent and hand the ball to Adrian Peterson, it will be easy

2.Packers 9-7 Almost, I hope Aaron does well to shut the stupid immature booing at the practices and coming up in the games..Those aren't Packer fans bboing him those are bandwagon quarterback fans

3.Lions 7-9 Again..they still have that passing game but no O-line or D-line

4. Bears 4-12 Exactly like the Chiefs

NFC East

1.Cowboys 12-4 Great Offense

2.Eagles 10-6 Wild card people will be kind of surprised but I see it in them with the experienced offense they have

3.Giants 10-6 Wild Card, Which eli will we see?

4.Redskins 5-11 They lost Gibbs the smartest coach in the NFL IMO

NFC South

1.Saints 11-5 right on the dot, Brees is just too good

2.Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8-8 They'll look fine but need adjustments

3.Panthers 8-8 Ditto as Buccaneers

4.Falcons 4-12 just horrible, Matt Ryan is already Overrated

NFC West

1.Cardinals 10-6 Kurt Warner stepped it up in the last couple of games last season

2.Seahawks 8-8 Offense is okay Defense is great

3.Rams 6-10 They'll find something

4.49ers 5-11 questionable team

Ok heres my Predictions

AFC East

1.Patriots13-3- They wont be perfect, but still pretty good

2. Jets 10-6- Favre will settle a shaky Jets offense and they will get one good season

3 Bills 7-9. They still need time to develop players like Lynch and Edwards

4 Dolphins 4-12 Getting better but still a long way to go

AFC North

1 Browns 11-5- Getting a improved defense with the offense they have will but them over the steelers

2 Steelers 10-6 You cant win em all and the browns are finally better then them

3 Bengals 8-8 Good Offense, defense with problems

4 Ravens 6-10 Slight improvements in offseason, but still have a ways to go

AFC South

1 Colts 13-3.. they are the colts, always solid

2 Jaguars 10-6 Needs more offensive firepower from recievers to get over the colts

3 Titans 7-9 Vince Young has to prove that he can do more then run around when he needs to make a play

4 Texans 5-11 They got the tools for future success, but not now

AFC West

1 Chargers 13-3 LT,Gates,Merriman need I say more?

2 Broncos 9-7 Cutler will have a good year, but the broncos year will depend on a better run defense

3 Raiders 7-9 With Russell and Mcfadden, they are ready for good years to come

4 Chiefs 6-10. Still no quarterback, and O-line problems and LJ coming off of an injury

NFC East

1 Cowboys 12-4 Great Offense, improving defense makes them the team to beat in the NFC

2 Giants 11-5. They still have to replace Strahan, but if Eli plays like he did in the playoffs, the G-Men will be playing into January

3 Eagles 10-6 This is Mcnabbs last shot at proving he is the franchise QB for the eagles

4 Redskins 6-10. The magic is gone from last years amazing run

NFC North

1 Vikings 11-5. If they get a solid QB, look for the Vikings possibly in the super bowl

2 Packers 9-7. Lets see if Aaron Rodgers was worth denying the best QB to ever play his job back

3 Bears 7-9. Grossman/Orton at QB+no running game=no playoffs

4 Lions 5-11. Hey they are the lions, hope Kitna doesnt make any more predictions...

NFC South

1 Saints 11-5 With Shockey on offense and Vilma on D plus a healthy Bush and Mcalister and Drew Brees means the saint will be good

2 Buccaneers 9-7 Tough luck on Favre but they are a good defensive team and Garcia isnt horrible

3 Panthers 8-8 If Stewart turns out good then Carolinas running problems will be fixed

4 Falcons 3-13 well...they are the falcons

NFC West

1 Seahawks 10-6 Looks for the hawks to go out in a bang in Holmgrens last season

2 Rams 8-8 Decent year after last years debacle

3 Cardinals 8-8, no change from last year

4 7-9 49ers, they still have no qb and the 1 hit wonder frank gore

Chicago 4-12? Im not a Bears fan but even I think that is insane.

titans 4-12? Are u serious? you realize you almost have more losing teams then you do winning?

  I don't agree with 99.9% of your list but that's just my opinion.
