2008 Canadian listeriosis outbreak?

Hey eevryone,. i watched the news today and saw this and was eating mcdonalds watching it... i was about to puke o.O and i read some stuff that it was spread in july, and i ate at mcdonalds alot in july and im scared that im gona die o.O

Relax - you aren't going to die (yet)  Given that you know it is out there, it can be dormant for several months, but if symptoms pop up and you recognize them, go see the doctor for antibiotics.  The doctor would be looking for it too.  It would be those that died, that couldn't identify the problem fast enough to save them that now give us the warning.  Not everyone who catches it dies.  As many things, it is elderly and those with weak immunity that are more likely to be fatal.
