  1. Smart fortwo by Mercedes Benz less than 15K. Only for two people, but you will absolutely love it. Guaranteed.

  2. I know two people have said Prius but you wont get one for $21k and you will be on a waiting list for a while.

You can get a 4cly Ford Fusion for well under 20k, and not a cheese ball, an SE model with auto trans, power win/locks, cruise, lots of safety options, mp3 plug in radio, you could even get big options like leather or nice wheels for under $20k. It will get 32 mpg highway, and average 28mpg. The quyality on the fusion is good and they are alot cheaper than Honda and Toyota and drive alot better.

I work for an automotive group that has Ford, Toyota, and Honda stores and for your money the Fusion is the better bet.

  3. 1. Honda Fit (base) - $15,385

    2. Mazda 3i Sport (sedan) - $17,205

    3. Hyundai Elantra SE - $17,945

    Honda Civic EX 20,145

    Honda Fit (base) 15,385

    Hyundai Elantra SE 17,945

    Hyundai Sonata GLS (4-cyl.) 20,095

    Mazda3i Sport (sedan) 17,205

    Volkswagen Jetta S 19,865

  4. Toyota Prius: 60 MPG

    $21,000

  5. Toyota Prius

  6. Honda Accord or Toyota Camry.  They are some of the most fuel efficient cars in their class, have a great resale value, and have high marks in all crash studies.

  7. Mazda 3, Mazda 5, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic 4dr, Kia Optima, Kia Spectra, Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Elantra, VW Rabitt, Ford Focus, Scion Xd etc., ....

  8. Three weeks ago I reserved a 4 door Sebring from Dollar rent a car for a trip from Mobile, AL to Branson, Mo. I arrived at Dollar on Saturday morning to pick up my car. No Sebrings. All they had was a PT Cruiser and A Sonata. The PT did not have any luggage room for four people. I asked for the Sonata (which cost an extra $70 for a week) and loved it. The mileage was excellent for a fully loaded car and the 4 banger had adequate power. I was so impressed in the 08 Sonata That I just purchased a 09 Wednesday night for $17,000. I love it. No way would I have spent $7000 more for a Accord or a Camry or a Altima. Also got a Lifetime drive train warranty (that's right, Lifetime).
