Australia has refused to tour, but news reports this morning say ICC has named SL as a back-up venue so if it's moved to there, there is every reason to hope our boys will still play.I think SL have a good chance, but don't discount SL if they play.

Atm I believe SL is the number 1 contender followed by Aus and RSA.But my gut feeling is that SA would become the champions this time.

Even if all teams turn up to play, i believe Sri Lanka are the favourites. They are the most in-form team in the world at the moment, and they have a devastating weapon called Ajantha Mendis.

Only India and West Indies have ever played Mendis, and both teams just couldnt pick him, so teams playing Mendis for the first time will struggle. Dusty pitches in Pakistan wont help the batsmen either, expect spin to dominate

Sri Lanka will always feel confident when they have Murali and Mendis in the side. Add the awesome Jayasuriya, Jayawardena and Sangakarra and i would say Sri Lanka are almost unbeatble.

Its not latest news! Australia, South Africa and New Zealand have been threatening to pull out of the tournament for months. I have a sneaky feeling that all teams will show up to the tournament. Whats the point having an ICC Champions Trophy if 3 major teams arent particpating?
