2008 Harley,how makes the best slip on mufflers?

and are they load? need to be load.my bike is a 2008 custom XL.

I've used several and am currently running pythons. They are plenty loud under load, but have a great smooth and legal rumble when cruising. I like vance and hines pipes a lot.

I think Python makes a great quality slip-on. Their performance closely matches Vance and Hines, plus they are a little less expensive.

Next would be Vance and Hines straight shots supper sound but will drop your Performance a little unless you go stage two carb

If you are going to an exhaust that will flow, go the extra mile. Get the stage one kit, exhaust, hi flow air breather, and re-map. It will not just sound better it will help the performance of your bike.

as for the best everyone will say theirs is better.... but all about the same..... i think your looking for a sound.... you like so best to listen to other bikes and see what they have.... as for load... guessing you mean loud.... if you want loud get take out the baffes out of your's  or drive a long round pipe up inside the ones you have... will not cost anything... why spend 500 or so bucks for loud....when you can just do some little work with the pipes you have now

If your bike has 02 sensers, it might cost you about $1500 to change mufflers, The only ones I know you can use without a SE Race Tuner, SE Race Fueler, Power commander, etc are called "Rush". Any kind at all could possibly cancel your warranty and damage your  engine. It will run way too lean. Check with your dealer. Hope this helps. The mufflers are gonna be around $400, the ECU piggy back is another $400-$500, if you want to do it right, the dyno is about $150 a pop, the air cleaner is $200 getting near $1500 you stupid know nothing idiot, Heckler 99

v&h short shots with a screamin eagle heavy breather and then a remap will give you the nicest sound and power gain
