  1. Ok the first 2 people to answer were right. The next 2 to answer were completely wrong. The ninja 250 is comfortable for people up to about 6'7". And why won't it work for over 200 pounds? It works great! I weigh 180 and my wife about 105 and we drive around on my 2002 250 all the time! It goes plenty fast and works great on the highways too! And the 2008 ninja 250 has even more Horsepower and looks sweet:) The 250 is an excellent choice for any cyclist who is not 7' tall and doesn't weigh over 500 lbs. :D www.ninja250.org has some excellent feedback check the FAQ and the forums as well. Good providence! (i get about 50-60mpg mixed driving with passenger on occasion)

  2. Around town is great but not so good on the highway.

  3. Definetely not for the interstate. Great on gas. You really need to post your height and weight, you might be too big.

  4. Yes it is big enough. And it is fine on the freeway. I regularly take my 1998 model on the freeway and sit on 120km/h+. I am 5'11" and weigh 140kg, which is over 300pounds.

They are an excellent line of bikes. So far i have reached 150km/h. I haven't popped any mono's yet, I think i'm too fat.

  5. since youre going that small, you may as well consider a Vespa.

250 is plenty small, too small in my book, but if youre only looking for gas saving measures then it will do the trick. I sorta wasnt joking about the Vespa though, it gets even better mpg. (if you can get past the image of yourself riding such a thing) Those little scooters you see everywhere get an unbelievable mpg, some close to 100mpg.something to consider.....

  6. go for it, the smaller, the more you can through it around and bonus on the gas. Might take a little getting used to but you will be popping mono's in no time

  7. I have an 04 Ninja 250.....so far I haven't had any complaints as far as in city driving. It does get a little bounced around on the highway if there is alot of wind. That problem might be alleviated if you'r bigger than me though :)

  8. I currently ride a Kaw 1000, and Im going to buy a Ninja 250, great milage, easy to ride in town, light weight, and Im past the "ego" point of a big bike, ill keep the 1000 for trips , but for milage and ease of use-- I WANT ONE!

  9. This is the ideal bike for the in-town commuter looking to save on gas.

If you are over 6 feet tall or 200lbs, the bike is too small. Your ride will be uncomfy, cramped, and not enjoyable.

You could probably get a used 500 for the same price. You won't be able to get a 250 anyways because they are on back order across the country. By the time you get one, the 2009 models will be out.
