2008 MLB Awards: NL MVP?

Question

Who is the favorite for the NL MVP. I've heard arguments for Pujols, Braun, Chipper Jones, Berkman, etc., but there isn't a clear answer. Who do you think it will be?

i think that the nl mvp is going to be either chipper jones or albert pujols.. i mean look at their average.. most of the time, the hitter that has the best average win the mvp award.

Braun will win, considering he's the only player on that list that has truly carried his team (possibly with the exception of Albert) and he's come up with some HUGE clutch hits this season.  If the Brewers make the playoffs, he wins.

If the Cardinals make the playoffs I'd have to go with Pujols (64.4 VORP).  If the Brewers make it then it will be Ryan Braun (39.3 VORP).  Berkman and Jones won't get it because their teams are not in a pennant race.

braun cause milwakee will win the wild card and its usally a player on a playoff team that wins

I really want Lance Berkman! He's putting up wonderful numbers this year and it's not fair that he's not getting any attention because Houston sucks so much this year.

Braun will probably win if the Brewers make the playoffs. He really deserves too. It seems like he 's really carried that team. The same goes for Pujols, but I don't think he'll win because I don't think the Cardinals we'll make the playoffs.

But I don't know. Baseball writers are the craziest out there, so Berkman may win after all!
