Anyone that's gotten this done can you tell me If the iPod adapter they install at the dealer is done through the glove box or through the center console under the arm rest?

The car is a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5SL without NAV. If it matters..

  1. Do you have steering wheel radio controls. If so there is a I-pod adapter that works nicely and is digital it takes a couple days to get used to using the steering control to access the I-Pod data but it works. I have installed the I-pod interface unit into Pathfinders and Titans not any Altimas yet. And it recharged the I-pod too. Just one plug into the I-pod. I think you can still use the mode switch and tune up and down switches on the radio face if your car has base audio system (with out steering controls) but having 80 gig of music at your finger tips (steering controls) is the way to go. You can have the I-pod adapter either place glove box or consol.
