During the men's all around finals competition, after Yang Wei had finished his (messy) high bar routine and won the gold medal, do you think that he acted kind of weird?

He gave this weird laugh to the camera, and then held his hand (one hand at first) to his ear. At first I thought it was a mocking gesture, but then I realized he was doing like a Hulk Hogan cupping of the ear implying "Let me hear your applause!"

  1. who was the last gymnast that did the high bar? does anybody know?

  2. Celebrating is wrong huh?

How quickly you forget Michael Phelps and teammates reaction after the relay.

He won the Olympic Gold Gymnastics All-Around individual medal. It kind of a big deal. Easily the most coveted individual medal in gymnastics. Who cares if his high bar routine wasn't perfect? He had a HUGE lead, and unless he fell on his face, he wasn't going to lose the gold. He was finally able to relax, the pressure was off. I was actually surprised and quite relieved to see him act a little goofy as he seems so stern and serious during competition.
