2008 Sea Ray 250 SLX - 2 Questions?

ok, my dad bought one of those ^^^ (I love it so much), its got a 496 mag in it with side pipes, we are shocked however with the terrible gas mileage, i calculated it out and we get about 3 miles to the gallon. Are there any known ways to get better gas mileage? Also, we are trying to think of a name for it, My dad owns a masonry business and our old boat was called (Sandblaster). We are empty in ideas, any help would be appreciatted.

Man she's one nice boat, sure to be STYLIN' in that.  

Jam on a super-charger and watch the fuel gauge beg for more.

Come on man, with the amount of money the Old Boy spent on that rig just call it       Deep Pockets.         lol

To get better fuel mileage you could just chop off 4Cly's, or better yet don't leave the landing.

Well for the better gas mileage I would make sure that you arent carrying anything too heavy. Also, try cleansing the oil, this would help it run on more pure gas. Sorry Im not that good on names but mine is Playmate if that helps. Its a real catch to the kids.

Boats aren't built for gas mileage. With a 496 you would proly do about the same on land. Boats get gallons per hour for gas mileage. If you want better "mileage" keep your hands off the throttle. What's wrong with the old boats name, just add I I behind it for second
