Ok, in the Tour de France shop, i wanna buy a jersey. I love cycling and so on, and i would love to have just a plain yellow or polk-dotted jersey like the real riders. I think i might be a little big for the kids, buy a little small for the mens. Anyways the price for the Men's is 65,00E which im guessing is euros. But i went on google and it says that equals about $102,000. I didnt think that was right. So i put in 65Euros and it said $102 dollars/ Could that be right? This jersey wasn'worn at all, it has no sponsors, just a Nike Swoosh. So are those prices right?

  1. Yes, $102.00 is right.  Cycling clothing is pricey like ski wear.  However, if it means that much to you, buy it and wear it while you ride, it will make your ride much more comfortable.

  2. Where we use a decimal, '.' the Europeans use a comma, ','.

And right now the Euro is pretty strong.

As an avid cyclist, I don't necessarily cringe seeing people wear them, although I wouldn't, since those jerseys are meant to be 'earned'.  I wouldn't feel right hoisting the Stanley Cup over my head either, just something about the Karma in that.

Those things just mean a little more to me I guess, but heck, if it gets you out on the bike and riding, then by all means. . .

    Get out and ride!

  3. Please don't get one. I cringe every time I see someone in a Maillot Jaune or Discovery Team jersey.

  4. If you are going to get a jersey with advertising on it, make a deal with your favorite local bike shop. Ride with their logo and ask for a discount.
