  1. The Yaris is very overpriced and slow. Also, side impart crash test ratings are not too good. The Fit may not sell too well because people don't like the bug-like styling, but this car has a lot to offer for the price. It is surprisingly agile, large, safe, dependable and very affordable.

When it comes to driving in the snow, you really don't have too much to judge. They are both 2200-2400lb. compact cars. I would most likely guess the Fit would be better in snow because it is larger and more agile. Like the other person said, it depends more of the driving than just the car.

To sum everything up, the Fit would be an all-around better choice.

  2. Honda Fit looks better.

  3. Honda Fit!!!

  4. the honda there way better cars the fit is a tiny car so it won't be such a drag with the gas and besides the fit is cuter btw in the snow they both work well

  5. Honda Fit is the number 1 subcompact automobile in the us. It won numerous awards, plus it's on car and driver's 10 best Cars. Also crash rating for Fit is very good, while Yaris has a very terrible crash rating.

snow, is about the same, it all depends on the driver. Also make sure you get the stick shift.

  6. The Honda Fit

is 10 times better than the Yaris.

the Toyota has a noisy unrefined engine, bad brakes and a poor hwy ride. You might get over the center mounted gauges but the unstable ride at anything over 50 mph never gets better.

the Fit comes standard with all power accessories, side curtain air bags and ABS brakes.

they are both FWD so they would do fairly well is light snow but you should look into snow tires for anything heavy.

Highs: Versatile interior, handling, fuel economy, standard ABS, powertrain, controls, access, turning circle, crash-test results, reliability.

Honda's small four-door hatchback offers easy access and good visibility, and has an amazing amount of interior room. The rear seats can be folded flat or the cushion can fold up against the backrest, creating a deep, flat floor that can accommodate bulky or tall items. While not overly powerful, the Fit feels responsive, with a smooth and willing engine, and agile handling. Overall fuel economy is an excellent 34 mpg for the manual and 32 mpg for the automatic.(Consumer reports)

  7. Go with the Fit Sport, you won't be sorry.  I have a 2008 and I love it.  Not sure about the snow, but I do know it has better safety features than the Yaris...
