2008 chemistry regents my teacher is failing us if we fail the regents? it was hard today. im worried =[?

so i took the chem regents today and it was hard. from reading other questions about the regents i heard it was the hardest one yet? is that true? well im very worried because my teacher said if we fail the regents he will fail us on the report card with a 55. i hope he has some change of heart because that test was difficult. there was some stuff that i dont even remember learning lol and i studied old regents like crazy the nights before. anyone else worried?

  2. RIDICULOUSLY HARD! i studied the old regents tests lilke crazy and todays was extremely difficult and 100 times difficult than any previous one.  ESPECIALLY the writing section.  smoke detectors? i dont even know what nonsense i wrote

  3. The Regents grade is for the state and the state only. It is completely at your teacher's descretion whether or not it will influence your final average.

    It was completely ridiculous. All of the old regents that I studied were 100x easier and I hadn't learned half of the material on the test. My teachers were saying that it was the hardest they had seen in years.

    I don't think your teacher has the authority to fail you on the report card if you fail the regents, but then again, I don't know how your school works. Would it still be valid if you retook the regents in August?

    I'm actually hoping I failed, because if I didn't, I probably ended up with a 75% or something. I'd rather retake in August and get a 90% then get a 75% on this one.

  5. i thought it was really easy compared to the SAT ii's i took for this a few weeks ago.. so much easier

    im seeing everyone complain about how hard it was... and i thought i was so easy.. and if you had trouble at this.. you might need a tutor for any other science classes you take

    alot of this was math.. and easy math none the less

    i think i probably got at minimum a 95... not bad at all and i finished in about 35 minutes...only 79 questions ..
