2008 olympics: Are the swimming events on NBC live on the east coast each night?

But each night, I watch Phelps break a new world record and NBC has "LIVE" up in the left hand corner.

Are they live or did Phelps swim and win earlier and NBC is delaying it?

The writer of that article doesn't know what he's talking about. It's live on the east coast. That's because there's a 12 hour time difference between the east coast and China.
