  1. I don't know about the mpg or the top speed, but I would get the Solstice. I think they are hot little cars.

  2. Here are some factors to take account of when considering one of these General Motors vehicles.

    (1) The 2006 Pontiac Soltice is one of Consumer Reports' Used Cars to Avoid.

    (2) The 2007 Saturn Sky is one of Consumer Reports' Used Cars to Avoid.

    (3) The 2008 Pontiac Solstice and the 2008 Saturn Sky are on AutoOnInfo.net's list of the Worst Automobiles of 2008, both with a Composite Score of -1.00 on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00.

    (4) The Pontiac line has an overall 5-year Reliability Percentrank average of .24 (on a scale of 0.00 to 1.00) and the Saturn line has an overall average of .30. For reference, General Motors' 5-year average is .31, Honda's, .84, and Toyota's, .89.

    (5) The Pontiac line has a 2008 Used Car Reliability Score of -.51 (on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00) and the Saturn line has a 2008 Used Car Reliability Score of -.17. For reference, Hyundai's Hyundai line has a score of +.20, Honda's Acura line, +.67, Toyota's Scion line, +.72, Toyota's Lexus line, +.82, Honda's Honda line, +.83, and Toyota's Toyota line, +.84.

    (6) The Pontiac line has the second largest number of entries on Consumer Reports' 2008 list of Used Cars to Avoid, after some correction is made for the size of its offerings (the number of entries on the Used-Cars-to-Avoid list divided by the number of Used Car Reliability Verdicts). The Pontiac line has a score of -2.2 by this quality measure, and the Saturn line, -.9. For reference, the Five Best have scores of 0.0: Toyota's Scion line, Fuji's Subaru line, Honda's Acura line, Toyota's Lexus line and Toyota's Toyota line.

    (7) General Motors overwhelming dominates Consumer Reports' 2008 list of the Worst of the Worst, accounting for 58% of the entries of the Worst of the Worst.

    (8) General Motors dominates Consumer Reports' least reliable list, accounting for 30%.

    (9) General Motors dominates AutoOnInfo.net's list of the Worst Autmobiles of 2008, accounting for 30% of the entries on the Worst list.

    (10) General Motors dominates AutoOnInfo.net's 2008 list of Automobiles with Worst Engine Reliability, accounting for 43% of the entries on the list.

    (11) General Motors dominates AutoOnInfo.net's 2008 list of Automobiles with Worst Transmission Reliability, accounting for 32% of the entries on the list.

    (12) AutoOnInfo.net's detailed reliability and durability studies suggest that a typical 3-year-old Pontiac is as troublesome to own as a typical 27-year-old Honda and a typical 20-year-old Toyota.

    (13) AutoOnInfo.net's detailed valuation studies suggest that GM products are overpriced by about 100% (or should be priced at about half of what they are), based on the accelerated deterioration of its products within the first 3 years. (It may be that they should sell for much less if dilapidation over a longer time period is considered.)

  3. Don't listen to the Natalia person, she says that about every Pontiac question about what to buy. The Solstice will be the cheapest, not by much though. But personally I feel the Sky/GT look better, with a more sporty design. They will all perform about the same.

I like the looks of the Sky better, but I'm a die hard Pontiac fan, so I'd go with the Solstice.

  4. i hav no i dea about the opel. top speed for the solstice and skyy is gonna be 160 mph highway gas mileage is 25 mpg city gas mileage is 19 mpg.

  5. The Opel and the Saturn is the same body different Logos.

The Pontiac is the same guts, different body.

Personally I'd get the Opel. Kinda sux that they're all made in the US, and we cant get the Opel outright, we have to get it through saturn.
