2009 tv issue?

WUT IS THE WHOLE 2009 TV THING ABOUT??

IS IT A GOOD OR BAD THING?

It's a good thing . They are switching all TV broadcasting over to digital to free up air space for Emergency services, Police , ambulance and fire and so on.  

If you have Cable or satellite then you should be fine once they switch. if your running of rabbit ears then you might want to go to https://www.dtv2009.gov/ and apply for a coupon which will help you in buying a converter box 2 per household max 80 dollars.

All television services providers Satellite and Cable  will have Digital signal!

it just means that all analong channels are going to use a digital signal to send them out which will give it a better picture. Only really old tvs or tvs that for some strange reason the manufacture dicided against putting in a component to recive digital tv. If your tv wont work with a digital signal then all you need to do is use it as an excuse to buy a new tv or buy a relitivly inexpensive converter box and hook it up to your tv. BTW its a GOOD thing

good if you have cable and if you dont just switch over to cable its not really a bad thing unless you dont get cable then you wont get any tv

What they're doing is canceling out most analog tv programming and making it all digital to free up space for emergency services or different government related things. It's only a bad thing if you're still using "rabbit-ears" or off-air antenna. If you're using cable or a satellite connection, you're not going to be affected.

all tv companies are switching to cable.

It is good because a high majority of people

already own cable. And many cable tv companies have great deals.

Such as: Cablevision, iO, Time Warner etc.
