  1. Since the resistors are in series, they also have the same current.

    Therefore 100J is produced each second in one of them.

    i.e. 100 Watts of power.

    Power  =  Voltage^2 / Resistance.

    Voltage^2  =  power  x  resistance   =   100  x  45    =   4500

      So voltage  =  SQR(4500)   =   67 V  across each resistor


  2. I joule /Sec  = 1 watt .

    now  power  = Curent ^2 * R  in watts

    Current = voltage / resistance ( r)

    here we have  r = 45+45 = 90 ohms ( Being in series )

    hence   E ^2 = 200 *90

    E = Sqrt ( 18000)   volts.

    now  voltage across each can be found out.
